Along the way, Paul could have questioned the Lord’s promise to him that no one would harm him. The Lord never is late, and the Lord never is early. We always, always, always, always can trust His timing.
God the Holy Spirit led Paul from the Roman province of Asia across the sea to Macedonia, where God the Holy Spirit led him to various cities for short times until leading him to remain in the strategically placed commercial city of Corinth for long-term evangelism.
Some people attempt to “spiritualize” everything in Scripture, rather than understand it as history. Sometimes we skim a passage and miss blessings.
Because of Adam’s sin in the garden, man’s default mode was set to “Sinner under the condemnation of God.” Many people attempt to reset their default mode, but only the Creator can reset man’s default mode when an individual surrenders to the Lord Jesus Christ.
A great many believe this world and its pleasures are all that counts, so make as much money as possible and fill our life with what makes you happiest.
Regarding testifying for the Lord Jesus Christ, sometimes God the Holy Spirit leads a believer one way and sometimes another. “Breadcrumbs” are always better than “dump trucks.”
Every one of us has seen “strange bedfellows” whether we identified them as such. We never should be surprised when these “strange bedfellows” unite their efforts against God’s Word, God’s work, or God’s people.
